    -He appears in the 1918, 1919 and 1920 Chandler City Directories  as a rancher, married to Daisy. The 1919 directory lists his address as P.O. Box 211.

    The 1921 directory said he co-owned J and J Meat Market with J. F. Sparks.

    -Mr. Armstrong with John Andersen's son bought the Andersen ranch in the Gilbert district.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/7/1913)

    -A house party was thrown in honor Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong's guests: Dallas Hayes of Globe and Laurel Nelson of Desert Wells.  Delightful music and games made the evening pass too quickly.  Refreshments were served.

    Party attendees were: Misses Dallas Hayes, Laurel Nelson, Evelyn Pine, Winifred Pine, Irene Hoffman, Gertrude Brookins, Ivy Ayers, May Ware, Linda Marsh, Maude Reese, Myrtle Reese, Merita Mosbarger, and Masters Ersken Hoffman, Leslie Wilcox, Francis Ware, Marion Ware, Willie Nelson, Mart Eddy, Claude Reese, Chester Reilly, Wilber Falconer, James Falconer, and Preston Nelson.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

    -The 1923 directory said he was was an owner of J & J Market and lived in Pasadena, Calif.
