    -Mr. Carlson came here from Montrose, South Dakota last week.

    He is preparing his 60 acre ranch and building a home at once.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/17/1913)

    -Mr. Carlson has bought 20 more acres from M.B. Carter for $200 per acre, he now owns 80 acres.  He left for home on Monday in Montrose, South Dakota, to prepare to make a permament move to Chandler.  He will be shipping stock, machinery, household furniture, and possibly much oats.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/24/1913)

    -At the first meeting of the Chandler Egyptian Cotton Growers' Association, Mr. Carlson pledged to grow a certain amount of cotton this year.  The next meeting of the association, he pledged one dollar to become part of the stock list.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/28/1913)
