Vice Mayor Trinity Donovan has lived in Chandler for 26 years. She began her tenure on the City Council in June 2006.
She currently represents the City of Chandler on a regional level as a member of the Maricopa Association of Governments Human Services Coordinating Committee and Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority. She also serves the Authority as the chair of the Budget and Finance Subcommittee. She represents the City at a national level through her involvement in the National League of Cities’ Council on Youth, Education, and Families. Additionally, she chairs the STAR Community Sustainability Index Technical Advisory Committee for Health and Safety.
Vice Mayor Donovan is the Executive Director of Chandler Christian Community Center. Working in leadership positions with a variety of nonprofits for the past 12 years, she has also been involved in many community coalitions in areas including financial stability, homelessness, domestic violence, early childhood, and youth development. Locally, Vice Mayor Donovan volunteers for a variety of organizations and is a member of the Chandler Service Club. She is active in her church and performs service projects internationally. Most recently, she traveled to Ethiopia with Hope for the Hopeless to work with an orphanage.
Vice Mayor Donovan has been honored by the Business Journal as one of its "Forty under 40," received the Soroptimist Woman of Distinction Award, Chandler Alliance for Character Award, IMPACT for Enterprising Women Celebration of Success Award, and the Stanford Associates Achievement Award.
A graduate of Chandler High School, Vice Mayor Donovan holds a bachelor's degree in Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, and a master's degree in Sociology – both from Stanford University. She also attended and graduated from Chandler Leadership and Valley Leadership. She and her husband, Ray Bolkan, were married earlier this year.
