    PARENTS: L. Frye

    He is listed in the 1916,  1917 and 1918 Chandler (Arizona) City Directories  as  a co-owner of Curry & Frye, a pool hall. Lloyd J. Curry is the other owner. They both live at Hotel Chandler.

    The 1918 directory does not include a residence.

    In the 19191920 and 1921 directories, he is described as a rancher. George Frye appears in the 1931 and 1932 directories  with the address P. O. Box 1062. The 1932 Phoenix Telephone Directory, Chandler section, said he lived on a ranch south of Chandler and had the phone number 73-R2.

    The 1940 Chandler Resident Directory said George Frye was a county supervisor (probably Maricopa County) and that he and his wife Etta lived on the west side of south Arizona. They had the phone number 189.

    -Mr. Frye, representing the Brunswick-Balke people, has leased the store room in the new bank building from R.M. Turner for a new pool and billiard hall called the New Pool Hall.

    He plans to run a first class place with four tables of pool and billiards.  He will install a fine line of cigars and tobaccos.

    The fixtures have been ordered, but will be several weeks before they will arrive.  (Chandler Arizonan 5/30/1913)

    -Mr. Frye's father, L. Frye, was in Chandler this past week visiting.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/20/1913)

    -Mr. Frye's new pool hall is almost ready to open in the Bank of Chandler building.  Some of his fixtures have arrived, but he waits on others.  He plans to open in two weeks, and says it will be a clean, up to date place and will handle cigars and soft drinks.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/27/1913)

    -After waiting five weeks, Mr. Frye's tables and other paraphernalia have arrived for his new pool hall.  He opened for the first time on Tuesday night and did good business.

    The tables are the latest make, and he has four of them.  He is considering a billiard table also.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/4/1913)

    -Mr. Frye has sold half interest to M.P. Freeman in the new pool hall.  They have added a new line of cold drinks including crushed fruit, ice cream, and milkshakes.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)
