-There will be a dance benefit at the new school building.  Proceeds will be to offset cost of uniforms.  It will be held on Tuesday August 27th at 9 p.m.

Music will be furnished by a Mesa orchestra.

Tickets sold by team members at one dollar per gentlemen, who can bring as many ladies as he wants.

Committee on arrangements: Claude Hanna, M.B. Arthur, R.E. Jaycox, and F.V.N. Dana.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/23/1912)

-"Harvest Moon" dance benefit for the baseball team at the school house on Thursday August 29th.

There was 100 in attendance and were mostly ladies.  Chandler turned out in full force, and several auto loads came from Mesa.

The group who organized were Claude Hanna, M.B. Arthur, R.E. Jaycox, and F.V.N. Dana.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/30/1912)

-The Chandler regulars played against Hotel San Marcos mechanics at Littlejohn diamond last Sunday.

The mechanics lost their first game against the regulars.  Their key players are Dorman and Dorman and manager Jack Zehnder.  The mechanics blame the loss on several injured players.

The regulars key players were Langley and McKay.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/17/1913)

-There is speculation for creating a baseball league comprised of towns of Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, and Phoenix.  A meeting will be held by members of the Chandler ball teams, and others interested in a few days.

Both Mesa and Tempe have organized teams and Phoenix has four or five.  Chandler has plenty of material.

Manager R. McKay of the Chandler team thinks a league could be pulled off, but the team has no place to practice.  For a $100 could  make some land ready west of town.  (Chandler Arizonan 1/31/1913)

-The Chandler team beat the San Marcos Hotel bunch 13-5.  Until the eigth inning the score was 6 to 5, but with six hits and two errors, they took a big lead.

    J. Reese secured three runs, but his fielding was not very good.

Four hits were made off Randall's delivery.

    R. Dorman did the bulk of hitting for the hotel bunch.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)

-A meeting was  held at the office of the Arizonan last Saturday evening to discuss a four club baseball league.  Both Chandler teams and other enthusiasts were there.  It was decided to meet with the other cities (Mesa, Tempe, and Phoenix) to see if they could handle a club.  The work of organization will be done rapidly.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)

-On Sunday, the Lesueur team of Mesa will play against the Chandler nine at Littlejohn field.  The Mesa team is said to be a very snappy team on the field.

People are encouraged to attend since it costs money to bring the team here.  The game will start at 3 promptly.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/7/1913)

-Mesa team defeats Chandler nine by 8 to 5 in what is being called a dirty game with the bullying tactic of the Mesa team.

    M. Langlois was knocked out by a throw from his brother, but still played the rest of the game.

Stevenson of Mesa ran down runner Wolf using the hard ball as a weapon.

Many other things happened also, but was not the cause of the defeat.  The game left a bad taste in the mouth of those in Chandler, and some Mesa people.

Some good features of the game.  A. Dorman struck out seven men in the last three innings, which equalled the total amount of Riggs of Mesa for the game.

200 people came to watch the game, who were very spirited from both sides.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)

-The boys of the Chandler school have formed two ball teams.  The only problem is they haven't a good baseball field.  They hope that someone will bring a team of horses or two, and a disk for two hours.

They can use the disk to pat down the borders.  The boys would also like trees, but the lack of water makes it impossible for now.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/28/1913)

-The Chandler team lost 15 to 0 to the Tempe team.  They will play next against Mesa.  There is talk of Phoenix putting a team together.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/28/1913)

-The Chandler team was 12 to 6 by the Sweetwater Indians from the Sacaton reservation.  A game will be played here this Sunday  against the Gilbert team.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/4/1913)
