-Chandler agent Holly says freight business has never been better.

30 cars of hay were shipped out in January, while the February total will nearly double that amount.

Total freight and passenger business during January was $6,000.

About 50 tons of alfalfa were shipped out, and is expected to reach 100 tons this month.

A.J. Peters of Tempe is shipping considerable amount of hay out of this district.  The rain has stopped the loading, but as soon as the weather permits, he will begin again.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/14/1913)

-32 cars of hay have been shipped out since February 1st, which is a rate of about two cars a day since it ended on the nineteenth.

A.J. Peters Company of Tempe is handling the freight having purchased the alfalfa from the farmers.

A total of 384 tons or 768,000 pounds were shipped, and the shipment is worth about $4,000 to Chandler farmers.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/21/1913)

-The A.J. Peters Company of Tempe is shipping out more hay from Chandler.  He is averaging two cars a day, but hoped for four cars a day, but couldn't get it delivered fast enough.  He will ship about a dozen total.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/14/1913)

-Chandler will receive 60 cents lowering in freight costs for shipping to Los Angeles and San Francisco starting on July 15th.  Chandler has had to pay 60 cents more than people living in Mesa, and other nearby towns.  Both the Santa Fe and Southern Pacific have agreed to the change in rates.  (Chandler Arizonan 6/20/1913)

-South Pacific and the Santa Fe are still charging Chandler 60 cents more than anyone else.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)

-The past report about the railroads discriminating against Chandler has been shown to be wrong.  There was a belief that the rate had also lowered in Mesa, which meant Chandler would have been paying more than Mesa.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/8/1913)
