Mesa Historical Museum Research Collection

The Chandler Museum is pleased to offer access to the Mesa Historical Museum's Research Library. For several years, the Mesa Historical Museum held a major research library at its Lehi Facility focusing on Mesa history, East Valley regional history, Mormon settlement of the East Valley, and Arizona history. The Mesa Historical Museum's Lehi facility was closed to the public in 2013 under a new contract with the City of Mesa and re-purposed as a shared collections storage facility. With the Lehi site closed for regular public use, access by the public to the research collections of the Mesa Historical Museum was greatly reduced. Therefore, in order to ensure that the Mesa Historical Museum research collections would be available for people who need to use them the Mesa Historical Museum decided to loan those collections to Chandler. The Chandler Museum has a research center in their facility (at 300 S. Chandler Village Drive, Chandler, AZ 85226) with staff to provide access to that material to access the research collection Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. If you have more specific questions, please contact the Chandler Museum's Curator of Collections, Nate Meyers, by email at  nate.meyers@chandleraz.gov or by phone at (480) 782-2877.

This material is made available as part of the East Valley Museum Coalition (EVMC). The EVMC strives to match the available resources of East Valley museums with the needs of the Coalition member institutions and the general public.
