    OliveGoodykoontz.jpgIn this lesson students analyze primary sources from post-war Germany.  One of the primary sources is journal entries from Chandler resident Olive Goodykoontz who spent time West Germany after World War II, aiding in the rebuilding effort.  This lesson is part of Chandler Museum's Use Local, Teach National Lesson plan series.

    This lesson was written with the help of Phillip Kennedy, social studies teacher at Bogle Jr. High School.  It is aligned with Arizona State Curriculum Standards and Common Core for Eighth Grade and Eleventh Grade but can be adapted for use in other grade levels as needed.
