    SPOUSES: George C. Smith



    -Mrs. George C. Smith attended a St. Valentine's Day party on Friday hosted by Mrs. Ella Page Seward.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/21/1913)

    -Mrs. Smith attended a party for the Santa Maria Ladies Wednesday which was hosted by Mrs. Walter Smith.  (Chandler Arizonan 2/28/1913)

    -Mrs. Smith is a candidate for school trustee.  (Chandler Arizonan 3/28/1913)

    -Mrs. Smith placed second in the school trustee election with 22 votes.  She was beat by Rev. E.N. Larmour who got 35 votes.  (Chandler Arizonan 4/4/1913)

    -The Smith home consists of a pleasant cottage, pump house, a garage, and chicken houses.

    Mrs. Smith has 50 prize winning Rhode Island Reds.  "Lady" a handsome hen is laying 15 eggs.  The parent stock were imported from Rhode Island at a cost of $35 for the cock, and $8 each for the hens. 

    In addition to the Reds, she has 60 thoroughbred Plymouth Rocks and about 60 mixed chickens.  Her intentions are to raise fancy stock for exhibitions and sale purposes, and she will also sell thoroughbred settings.  At present she has three pens.  She will make note of the sales for each pen to decide which breed suits the climate of Chandler best.

    -Mrs. Smith hosted the Ladies' Aid Society on Thursday.  The main fun was a watermelon feast which all the melons were grown on the Smith ranch.  (Chandler Arizonan 7/25/1913)

    -Mrs. Smith hosted 25 members and family and friends of the Ladies' Aid Society last week for a watermelon party.  Over a dozen children invaded the watermelons.  This Friday, she will entertain some friends.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)

    -Mrs. J.G. Spangler and daughters (Misses Laura and Martha Spangler) of Mesa were guests of Mrs. Smith.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/1/1913)

    -Mrs. Smith entertained a group of women at her home last week.  She served a watermelon feast, and a good time was had by all.  Mrs. Montgomery and Mrs. Peeler played a selection of piano tunes.  Among the other attendees were Mrs. Halstead, Mrs. Berg, Mrs. Frank Smith, Mrs. D.M. Arnold, Mrs. Gribben, Mrs. S.A. Meyer, Mrs. Barackman, Mrs. J.W. Heffner, Mrs. Thomas Jones, Mrs. J.W. Lembke, Mrs. Ross, Mrs. Eaton, Mrs. Black, Mrs. J.F. Mallory, Mrs. Pyatt, Mrs. Crenshaw, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Dana, Mrs. Herman, Miss Hoffmaster, Misses Ruth and Grace Johnson, and Madge Peeler.  (Chandler Arizonan 8/15/1913)
